The Willows

A tranquil place in the central highlands of Tasmania

Our Farm

Willow Creek came into being in early 2012 when we were lucky to purchase our first five fantastic goats from one of the Miniature Goat Breeder Association’s founder members.

These first three girls and our lovely buck Zygar gave us our first four babies at the start of spring 2012 all of which were beautiful little girls.

Since then our heard has grown to thirty girls and four stud bucks.

We area situated in the Central Highlands of Tasmania just near the beautiful Mt Field National Park.

We are high enough that the property does get a sprinkle of snow now and then which is great cause for amusement amongst the herd.

Our aim is to continue the great work of the  other members of the MGBA in breeding small, healthy and friendly goats with good conformation and loving natures.

We love to promote this breed whenever we can and believe that they can be a great addition to any property both large and small.

We have also started producing a small amount of both goat and cows milk for the property and making cheeses for our selves , along with other dairy products for our own consumption.

We have also expanded into breeding miniature Hereford cattle. Our eldest girl Coriander has now gone into retirement with “a home for life” - our policy for All Our fur kids.

Our feathered girls  Chicken and Ducks , proved us with wonderful fresh free range eggs, and we also breed our own chicks for sale.

2014 saw us undertake a couple of new projects, firstly 7 marvellous Alpaca’s, a delightful young Jersey House cow called Star, and Cariad our rescue milking heifer.

Oh and we now have a massive greenhouse and 1 acre vegetable patch producing lots of homegrown food, so we are almost self sufficient
